Travel industry in Gilgit Baltistan

The Travel Industry in Gilgit

Gilgit Baltistan has finally opened up to the outside world, allowing travel buffs and adventurers alike to explore this previously hidden region of Pakistan. Unfortunately, the area’s tourist infrastructures are still in their early days, leaving the once popular mountain biking tours non-existent and forcing visitors to stay in overcrowded hotels and eat at low-quality restaurants if they wish to explore the area thoroughly. To save the travel industry in Gilgit Baltistan, it’s important that both the government and tour operators increase their efforts and make travel in this area as easy as possible for tourists.

Reasons Why the Travel Industry Should be Saved?

The travel industry should be saved because it can offer both economic and social benefits. Many rely on travel for their livelihood, with or without a formal job title. Tourists are generally of higher socio-economic status than regular residents, meaning that by coming to our city, they have more spending power and may be able to support additional businesses beyond those directly involved in their trip.

In addition to saving existing jobs, the travel industry can also create new jobs as destinations build infrastructure and attract new visitors. While many tourists visit Gilgit Baltistan every year, we need to do more to ensure that we’re making them feel welcome and providing them with an unforgettable experience.

We need to work together if we want tourism to continue growing in our region. It is time to start changing our mindset and begin looking at tourism as an opportunity rather than a burden. It is important that we move forward from what has already been done in order to achieve the long-term sustainability of our local economy and society.

What Can You Do?

There is a lot that you can do. However, tourism isn’t profitable for most residents of Gilgit Baltistan, and it isn’t even a major industry here. As such, we want to help everyone make money off of travel in a sustainable way. This means creating jobs where there are none, helping locals create their own businesses, and teaching them how to be tour guides and drivers so they can have careers as well as income. We also want to encourage more local restaurants and shops so that people don’t have to spend all their time trying to sell goods or services but instead can focus on making their guests happy by showing them around town. All these things will not only make your trip better but will also save the travel industry in Gilgit Baltistan!
