The animals come together every year around July and August at Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park during its Great Migration period.

Gondwana Rain forests, Eastern Cape Province – South Africa
Africa’s Gondwana Rain forests once covered much of southern Africa, but were destroyed by logging and land development. There are now only three remaining parts of the Gondwana rain forest: Addo Elephant National Park in South Africa, Guangzhou National Park in Zimbabwe and Malawi, and the Udzungwa Mountains National Park in Tanzania.
The best way to see Gondwana forests is by visiting one of these protected areas. This will ensure that you can enjoy them for years to come. As there are no public roads through any of these parks, visitors need to fly into a nearby airport and be prepared for an arduous journey to reach their destination. Visitors must have permits issued by park authorities before entering any of these parks.
The number of permits issued each year depends on how many people have applied before your application is reviewed. Permits may be hard to obtain, especially during peak seasons such as summer holidays or winter school holidays when many families want to spend time together at national parks throughout Africa.
Johannesburg Botanical Garden – South Africa
The Johannesburg Botanical Garden is home to more than 2,000 plant species and is one of South Africa’s most popular tourist attractions. The park has a wide variety of trees, as well as an orchid collection and a pond with turtles. The most popular area of the garden is its garden-in-the-city atmosphere.
Roses, wisteria and cherry blossoms can be found throughout; there are also ponds, lakes, and playgrounds for children. In addition to being beautiful, it’s also very educational. There are many signs explaining each type of tree and flower you see while walking through. A large part of the park is dedicated to horticulture students who study here. Tours are available, but only by appointment.
